Exhausted. Surprised I am so tired, but it was a
lot of work today. Drilled holes for the footbraces and epoxyed two layers of fiberglass
tape over them. I cannot install the actual footbraces until the hull is painted because
the screws that hold them in have to go over the paint. |

Epoxyed tops of deckbeams and
bulkheads and had my friend Joe bend the deck over these frames
while I nailed copper nails in every four inches. It was really
hard. I couldn't have done it by myself. But the deck's
on!!! Will let it cure overnight, then install the coaming.
I may finish the structure tomorrow! I've been looking into
places where I can store it because if I have to lug this 15 foot
boat out of my apartment every time I want to take it out, I never
will. Walked down to the 79th Street Boat Basin (about 10 minutes
from my apartment) and found out I can store it there (it's right
next to the water) for $30 a month until October 31. Good news.
And I can store it in my apartment during the winter. |

Epoxying again. This picture shows the messiness and
cake icing-ish aspect of this task. The bandaid on my finger covers one of a few
injuries sustained during this project. A pesky fiberglass shard. |
