Connected 4 more strips to make 2 more long pieces which I then glued to the top hull panels. (You can't see this very well here - this may become clearer shortly!) Eventually I will nail the top of the kayak (the deck) to these strips. (half of the top of the kayak is in the background.) Notice all the clamps. I am the proud owner of about 25 c-clamps. |

| Drilled holes in the bottom hull panels 4 inches apart and connected them with short twists of copper wire. (The process of building a kayak this way is called "stitch and glue construction.") |
